Climate Change
COP28'
-
Demands
Poorer countries are demanding that richer countries keep their promise and give them more money. These countries, especially the ones affected by climate change, expect $100 billion but only received about 600million.
-
Who's going to be there
Around 200 governments; UK prime minister Rishi Sunak will be there and King Charles will also attend. Sadly, Pope Francis cancelled due to an illness and Joe Biden, along with China's Xi Jinping will not go either, but they will have representatives.

Controversy
The conference is being hosted in Dubai but they are one of the world's largest oil producers, and want to produce more
Natural Causes
Volcanoes
Volcanoes can put so much ash and dust into the atmosphere that they actually lower the global temperature
Earth's Axis
The axis is usually between 22 and 25 degrees every 41000 years. If it is tilted closer to the sun, it is hotter.
Energy
Every 11 years, the Earth receives more energy than usual, resulting in global warming.
Taking Action
Adaptation
You can protect water sources from warmer temperatures. Due to low precipitation, less crops have been growing. People can try to grow crops that can adapt to the new climate, or change the climate itself.
Mitigation
Solar prices have dropped a lot these past 19 years, making them cheaper than coal. Hence, governments are willing to use it now. Other ways to mitigate include, riding a bike, or walk instead of driving, or reduce the amount of energy you use at home; turn off the lights when no one is in the room.
