    - - A steampunk derivative that is focused around the application of renaissance-era technology (notably clocks, padlocks, keys and gears) to the aesthetic of the media
        
        Often focused on being from the pre-modern era of powering mechanical devices in ways that didnt use more advanced energy forms (steam and beyond) thus relying on wind-up keys or wind power
  - - - Fantasy that focuses on disturbing and horror themes using the fantasy lens to create a unique type of fear (the genre doesnt have to impart the fear onto the audience, however it is one often tapped into aspect of the genre)
