COP28
Natural Causes of Climate Change
The main one is "Fossil Fuels." What are fossil fuels? Fossil fuels are an outcome of Human-made energy. Fossil fuels contain CO2 which is the main type of "Green House Gases", they absorb radiation from the sun and in turn stay trapped on Earth and produce more heat than we need. These gases are released from a bunch of different causes. Electricity, Transportation, industry, homes, businesses, and Agriculture.
Earth sometimes receives more energy from the sun which causes, you guessed it HEAT! The Earth's atmosphere also has something called the "Green House Effect." Greenhouse effect means things that are "Green House Gases" can't leave the atmosphere, so it stays here and makes it warmer.
During this year, COP28 was decided to be in Dubai as it is part of the United Nations
The Goals for COP28 is to reach Net.0. greenhouse gasses, so far, they have lowered it to Net 1.3
More than 70,000 delegates are expected to attend COP28, including the member states of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Business leaders, young people, climate scientists, Indigenous Peoples, journalists, and various other experts are also among the participants.
Dr. Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and United Arab Emirates Special Envoy for Climate Change has been appointed to serve as the COP28 President.
Countries will consider setting goals to triple renewable energy capacity and double energy savings by 2030. A proposal made by the European Union, The United States, and the UAE's presidency. This looks set to win broad support, with G20 major economies including China already backing the renewables goal.
The Frontrunners are The USA and China because they emite the most c02.

Drama
98% of Dubai's energy is Fossil Fuels
Dubai wants to INCREASE the amount of oil used per day from 4 Million gallons to 5 million.
Dubai wants people to THINK that it is a green country
Holocene
A stable state on earth which keeps the Climate stable
Anthropocene
The age of humans in which weather gets higher.
It took 50 years to get to this

Meaning of Mitigation
Mitigation means stopping climate change completely, for example the cost of solar enrgy has become much cheaper so we can end fossil fuels
The last United Nations Water Conference produced 689 agreements, but none stuck together. According to the World Bank, there are no answers to how we will obtain the USD 300 billion that would guarantee planetary water security and quadruple the return of benefits.
Moreover, last summer, the environment and climate ministers of the Group of 20 (G20) met in July without making progress on specific agreements on renewable energies or how to increase climate action funding. It should be noted that the G20, which integrated the African Union this year, is decisive.
Countries demand 100 billion dollars for safe energy.
Cost of Solar energy has gone down by 80%
Adaptation is necessary for successful mitigation: the environmental health of tropical areas, where most of the poorest economies are concentrated, is vital to carbon sequestration and water cycle preservation.
What is it?
Adaptation means adapting into the lifestyle of climate change insetad of solving it
Candada
Canada is selling lots of gas.
Canada wants MONEY!
Prices of gas is more than green energy so there is now more money invested in solar than gas.
People have hope since sales for green energy is at the highest point in history.
The head of COP28 said that you could only phase down but he then said "That was misinterpreted" and "We need to phase out"
