- - - - The reason why it is being held in Dubai is so controversial is because the UAE is one of the top 10 oil producers in the whole world. It has been appointed to the Chief Executive of the state-owned oil company, Sultan Al Jaber, the President of COP28 speaks up. Oil, like gas and coal, is a fossil fuel. These are the main problems as to the impact of climate change because they release gases like carbon dioxide which is a gas that can warm up the planet when burnt for energy. However, Dr. Al Jaber's oil company wants to expand its oil production.
      - 98% of Dubai's energy comes from fossil fuels. They're pumping 4.5 million barrels of oil and want to hit 5 million now. The solar plants that Dubai has made is all a distraction from their oil production. Nasdar is palnning more Solar Plants in order to distract us from their oil production further.

- - - - Hydro, Solar, Geothermal, Wind, Tidal, Nuclear.
      - In Alberta, they keep using oil and coal for energy, but they are slowly trying to persuafe them to change to green energy like Ontario.
    - - Only 2.8 Billion dollars was invested into Solar energy but 37 Billion dollars to Oil and Gas energy.
      - For the first time ever, the countries want to spend more money on Solar energy then Oil and Gas since it has now gotten much cheaper.
