COP 28 of 2023 will be held in the United Nations.
One goal that COP28 has is to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees.

Some of the major producers of greenhouse gases caused by human activities include electricity production and transportation. Humans burn fossil fuels such as natural gas, oil and coal to produce electricity. We also rely heavily on transportation and use cars, trains, and planes which are fueled by gasoline and diesel.
Other human activities that produce greenhouse gases include industries such as the metal industry that use fossil fuels to produce heat. Homes and businesses are also contributers because fossil fuel is burned for heat and some of our appliances also release greenhouse gases. Agriculture and household wastes also play a role in the overall greenhouse gas emissions.
Significant increase in CO2 started with the use of fossil fuels in the 1800s. For example, the popularity of oil, natural gas, and coal has contributed to an increase in CO2.
Sometimes Earth receives more energy than usual from the sun. Which causes the Earth to have a warmer temperature.
Volcanic eruptions can throw huge amounts of dust and ash into the atmosphere. These pieces can sometimes even stay for years.
The tilt of Earths axis changes the amount of energy received from the sun. This means the countries tilted away from the sun would be colder and the countries tilted toward the sun would be warmer.
Using technology to grow crops that are resistant to drought and other problems resulting from climate change.
Providing people with better health care so that they can protect themselves from the consequences of climate change events such as heat waves.
Make efforts to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere by replacing fossil fuels with other forms of energy. For example, electric cars are using electricity instead of gasoline.
Become better at reducing energy use by making sure that things are switched off when not in use.
Protect our green spaces and plant more trees to absorb greenhouse gases.
Make sure to recycle, reuse and reduce consumption of energy. Use water more efficiently. For example, turning the tap off when brushing your teeth and only turning on to rinse. Another example is to take quicker showers.
Increasing green spaces to allow people and animals areas to cool off and take shelter from the heat.
Around 70, 000 people are expected to attend COP28. Consisting of the member states, Parties of UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Business leaders, climate scientists, Indigenous People, NGO's, leaders of countries and many more.
