Interesting Facts
Turritopsis dohrnii also known as the 'immortal jellyfish' has been noticed to live for insanely longs amounts of time. They have been noticed to live forever, however will and can still die depending on the situation.
Jellyfish not only have no eyes, bones, or a heart but they also don't have a brain! It is super interesting that an animal can live without a brain and live for so long just like the turritopsis dohrnii.
A common misconception about jellyfish is that urine will help ease the pain of a sting. This is actually a myth and urinating on a jellyfish sting actually doesn't help the pain level, but instead could cause more pain as it will lead to an infection.

Physical Characteristics
Mushroom-like structure known as the bell which contains the organs of the animal, and then of course the dangerous tentacles that provide the animal protections from predators.
Jellyfish are composed of three levels known as the epidermis (outer layer), mesoglea (middle layer, thick and elastic substance), and the gastrodermis (inner layer). All three layers play important roles in protecting the animal's organs and allowing for the animal to function properly in order to live a healthy life.

Native Habitat
In their natural environment jellyfish are usually found in cool water located deep in the dark ocean. Some jellyfish like tropical jellyfish will live in warmer water however do not live as long as their counterparts living in cool waters. Just like plankton they are known as drifters as they just tend to float in the water, away from the surface and the ocean floor just letting the oceans current to take them away.
Zoo Habitat Description
In zoos jellyfish are found in big tanks of water in the aquarium sections. They are usually tall vertical structures that prevent too much swimming. Sometimes they are found in bigger tanks but are always found in groups in their tanks. This is not the best environment for them to be living in. They are found in cooler water around 10 to 15 degrees C.
