Rose: She is a strong and independent girl who becomes a close friend to Frenchie. Rose is brave, compassionate, and determined to fight against the injustice they face.
Frenchie: He is the protagonist of the story, a young Indigenous boy with a troubled past. Frenchie is resourceful, resilient, and protective of his loved ones.
