Spider Diagram 2
Foley
The cannon fire sound
I think right now my best idea is to use a loud banging create from hitting a pan onto the floor and then editing the sound in post-production to best get the cannon sound
A sword clanking sound
I would use the sound of a knife being sharpened for when the knight unsheathes it and the sword is fully shown
Blood drip sound
I would record water dripping in uneven bursts to make the sound of the blood dripping after the knight gets shot

Fire on a fuse sound
I would use a sizzling sound from a grill to create the sound of a fuse moving along a wire to make the sound before the cannon fires
Wood breaking sound
I would snap a short plank to make the sound and then use post production to make it much louder and more impactful
Music
I would have to make a soundtrack the sounds like a medieval theme and replicates media that also use a medieval setting with older instruments on soundtrap such as a banjo and flutes to give the ident the medieval feel and link to the medieval aesthetic.
I would use use the music to make the tone of the ident match. When the knight jumps over the barrier as an example I would use more light hearted trumpets to announce him going over the fence to make it sound triumphant. I would use sadder more emotional tones as the camera pans down to his wound with the E4 logo in his stomach.
Ambience
The setting of the ident is within a forest clearing so it would make sense to create this with using ambience noise I will record and collect from the nearby forest near my house to get the noise of the trees and birds and wind to bring more life to the location.
Another use of ambient noise I plan on using will be recorded through foley means but will be atmospheric and with the intention to build ambience in the scene and add to the setting. Since the setting is within a battlefield to make the ident feel as if its in a real battlefield I would use foley of swords clashing and breaking and me yelling and make it really quiet to make it seem as though a battle is happening in the background.
Speech
One element of speech I would use is saying "E4" at the end of the ident when the camera pans out back to the wide shot again. This is a common trope in idents promoting TV adverts and channels when at the end of the ident there will be a title reveal with an announcer. I want to keep this trend and convention within my ident. The voice will be a strong and deep voice saying E4 to make it sound impactful and unique and match with the ident.
Another element of speech I would use is grunts and mumbles to give the character of the knight more life within the ident. The noises I will give to him would be reminiscent of old Lego games. The reason for this choice and objective is to give the knight more life and add more weight to the narrative as a whole by giving the knight a personality. I also think the mumbles will match with the low-poly art style of the ident.
