Baptist Churches have shed much, if not all, of the imagery which once communicated its distinctives and beliefs.
People have maneuvered away from organized religion, including their local Baptist church. But some are reorienting back, but is that good news?
Sexual predators have abused Baptist polity to abuse women and children. Our polity needs work, but its not just our polity. Other denominations also govern themselves according the governance of the congregation. This abuse of polity exists everywhere, not only in Baptist churches.
The Baptist Way
In modern times, Baptists fully embody the reformation. Some Baptists think themselves Calvinists. A few as Arminians. The truth is all the veins of the Reformation can explain what it means to be Baptist.
Baptists have maintained that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant verbal revelaton of God to human beings.
Baptists continue to require a personal conversion experience based on faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and King.

Baptists, when fully Baptist, probably can give God more glory, than they do now and remain Baptist.
