Radioactivity - Coggle Diagram
Radioactivity
Half Life
half life is how long it takes for half the unstable nuclei in a source to decay, or how long it takes the activity to halve
the higher the activity of a radioactive source, the more dangerous it is, so substances with longer half lives will present less risk initially but the activity of a substance with a short half life will decrease faster so after a while may be safer

Dangers of radioactivity
-
gamma rays and beta particles are most dangerous outside of the body as they have a longer range whereas alpha particles are most dangerous inside as they cannot leave the body
