Industrialization and Progress - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Education: Marginalization in education was very prominent. Whites and blacks were completely separated in schools, with schools specifically only for blacks built. Most African Americans weren't educated what so ever. Racial mixing of white and blacks in schools was heavily opposed.
      - Everyday life: In the average day, almost every activity was segragated. Bathrooms were separate between whites and blacks, transportation was separate, with the famous moment in history, Rosa Parks refusing to sit in the back. Coffee shops and supermarkets were segragated as well.
      - Job opportunities: With the Jim Crow laws in act, job opportunities were now even more separate. Whites were applicable for higher paying jobs, and African Americans struggle to find money, due to being rejected at white-dominant jobs.
      - Violence: With the Jim Crow laws passed, there were numerous cases of violence, including lynching. Lynching was a common punishment among African Americans who stepped out of line from social order. This segragation led to many death among blacks due to them disobeying.
