Causes of the great wa
Most commonly known the immediate cause of the great war was due to the Archduke of Austria-Hungary being assassinated. As well as alliances, nationalism, militarism, and of course imperialism.
Allies were a important cause of the great war because if it weren't for allies multiple countries would be at war instead of 2 sides.
Nationalism and militarism also played a big factor because Nationalism created competition between the sides as they sought to assert out independence and more power. And militarism began to have a bigger influence on the public policy, and it helped push countries involved in war.
