stage 1: The butterfly lays an egg on a leaf.
stage 2: A larva or a caterpillar comes out of the egg.
stage 3: The larva grows into a pupa.
stage 4: Inside the pupa it becomes an adult butterfly.

stage 1 : The female grasshopper lays eggs in the soil.
stage 2 : A nymph comes out of an egg with no wings. it molts 5 times before it reaches adulthood.
stage 3 : It becomes an adult grasshopper with wings.
