Diagnostic Criteria

Recurrent inappropriate compensatory behaviors (such as self-induced vomiting, misuse of laxatives, fasting, or excessive exercise) in order to prevent weight gain
The binge eating and inappropriate compensatory behaviors both occur, on average, at least 1x/week for 3 months.

Risk Factors
Emotional People - Depression and/or Anxiety can cause you to develop the disorder. Mostly because people with Bulimia feel bad about themselves
People who diet have a much higher risk for the disorder because they could be trying to lose weight in a unhealthy way.

Statistics
1.5% of the female population have Bulimia Nervosa and 0.5% of the Male populaiton will have problems with Bulimia Nervosa
