Setting:
Place: School, class, and home.
Plot
Exposition: Desmond is moving to a new home with his family. He is sad to leave his old home and friends behind.
Rising Action: Desmond and his family pack up their belongings and say goodbye to their old home. They drive to their new home, which is in a different city. Desmond is nervous about starting over in a new place.
Climax: Desmond’s family arrives at their new home. Desmond is surprised to find that the house is much bigger than their old one. He is excited to explore his new surroundings.
Falling Action: Desmond and his family begin to unpack their belongings and settle into their new home. Desmond meets some new friends in the neighborhood and starts to feel more comfortable in his new surroundings.
Resolution: Desmond realizes that although he misses his old home and friends, he is happy in his new home. He is excited to start a new chapter in his life.

Conflict:
The main conflict is internal and it's about the couple’s poverty. Jim and Della can't afford any expensive gifts for each other, and they are forced to make personal sacrifices to buy the perfect present.
Plot
Exposition:She is sad and anxious because despite her efforts, she has not saved enough money to buy Jim a Christmas present .
Rising Action: Della decides to sell her hair to buy Jim a chain for his prized watch. She spends all her savings and the money she gets from selling her hair to buy the chain.
Climax: On Christmas Eve, Jim comes home and sees Della’s short hair. Della explains that she sold her hair to buy him a gift. Jim then gives Della her gift, a set of jeweled combs she had seen at a jewelery store. Della loves the present, but she is sad that she doesn't have a wonderful gift like his.
Falling Action: Della and Jim still love one another, and learn a valuable lesson about sacrifice and love.
Resolution: Couple for their selfless gifts of love, calling them even wiser than the three wise magi who brought gifts to the baby Jesus on the first Christmas Eve.
