Statistics
Surveys show a rate of approximately 1.5 percent of the US female population and 0.5 percent of the male population has experienced bulimia in their lifetimes. These percentages translate to 4.7 million females and 1.5 million males.
Recommended Treatment
They do Psychotherapy, Medications, Nutrition education and if its more serious hospitalization
The doctor will want to gather a detailed history of your behaviors from you, your family, and others. Sometimes, psychological testing is done. Blood tests may be done to check overall health and nutritional status to find if you may or may not have the disorder
