Diagnosis Criteria
You must have an intense fear of gaining weight, even if you're underweight
You restrict your energy intake to the point of being significantly underweight for what is normal for your gender, sex, and other factors
Being disturbed with your body weight, basing your worth on your weight and body shape, and not seeing how low your body weight really is

Treatment
Therapy, from a therapist/psychologist (behavioral, dialectical, counseling)

Joining a support group to get through the mental part of recovery, and to feel less alone
Hospitalization, in or out patient
Symptoms

Exercising for long amounts of time, even if you are injured or tired
Odd food handling habits and patterns (cutting up food into tiny bits, pushing it around on your plate, etc)

If you're a woman, having an irregular/not normal period
