A british general led a group of soldiers to lexington to capture two colonist leaders , but the colonists found out about the plans and the colonists prepared for the british arrival and won against them in battle

British attacks on coastal towns
The british destroyed many coastal towns because of their alliance with the rebellion against britian. Leaders of the rebellion stopped the burning of two areas in hopes of showing the colonists that in order to live they needed to work together.

The colonists disliked this act because they thought they were being harsh. These acts were made to get colonists closer to the british, but ended up bringing the colonists closer together

The colonists disliked the townshend acts because they said they had no representation in the legislative body. They boycotted British items until the parliament took the townshend act away

The boston tea party was caused because colonists would fight against the tea act. As a result colonists dressed up as natives boarded the ships and dumped about a million dollars worth of tea off the ship

The Boston massacre was caused because a colonist hit a British soldier with a stick. Then the soldier fired into the crowd and the colonists started to run to not get shot
