Difference Feminism
Difference Feminism: focus on issues different women from different backgrounds experience, not just white middle-class women. Believe different characteristics intercept to cause different experiences of prejudice + discrimination e.g. ethnicity
Weaknesses
By emphasing the differences between women, difference feminism deflects attention away from the problems shared by all women

Women's characteristics intersect cause different levels of discrimination e.g. a rich black women vs a poor Indian women

Problems within society
Feminism has been ethnocentric (preconceptions based on one's own culture) for along time e.g. first wave feminism – wanted vote for white middle class women
We have ignored minority women for too long and tired to give them solutions that don't work for them
Marxist Feminism
Marxist Feminism: the lack of power and economic dependence that women have is a result of Capitalism. Patriarchy is caused by Capitalism, women's subordination is only beneficial for Capitalism (not men). If Capitalism is overthrown patriarchy will go with it.
Weaknesses

Marxist Feminists don't explain the fact that patriarchy has existed in all known societies not just Capitalist societies
