"I tell you - whoever that inspector was, it was anything but a joke."
"I know I'm to blame - and I'm desperately sorry - but I can't believe - I won't believe - it's simply my fault that in the end she - she committed suicide.

Opening stage directions
A pretty girl in her early twenties, very pleased in life and rather excited
First impressions
Rather a cheerful soul, may be entitled as she's happy with her current status/wealth and may be rather immature.
Closing impressions
Has changed, now very mature for her age and her views on her parents have changed. She's now not dependant on her parents and strongly disagrees with their actions and is also disgusted about Gerald. Her entire viewpoint has changed and now she acts her age and supports Eric's decision of change and accepting responsibility. It also shows she's acting independant and is now turning away from her parents due to her not giving them much respect and defying their decisions. It also shows how women of the era felt during that time (mainly lower/working class) about how they want their human rights, and Sheila representing these views and wants, shows that all if not most of the women at the time wanted these same things.
