Saliva - Coggle Diagram

      - Water: Around 99%.
      - Mucus: Lubricant.
      - Electrolytes: Sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, bicarbonate, phosphates.
      - Proteins: Immunoglobulins, enzymes, mucins.
      - Nitrogenous products: Urea, ammonia.
      - Functions:
      - Lubrication, antimicrobial, pH regulation, taste transport, diagnostic information.
- - - - Measures saliva production in response to stimulus or in unstimulated conditions.
    - - Unstimulated: Normal 0.3-0.4 ml/min, decreases to 0.1/min during sleep.
      - Stimulated: Increases to 4-5 ml/min, influenced by oral pH.
