False class consciousness: proletariat suffer from this state of consciousness. This is when they do not recognise they are being exploited – brain washing
Communism: a system involving communal ownership rather than individual ownership of private property
Alienation: under Capitalism, the workers fell estrangled or cut off from their work because they have no control over production or products of their labour – one part of a whole chain
Means of production: the raw materials and tools used in the production process. Under Capitalism these include; property, factories and machinery.
Bourgeoisie: Capitalist class own the means of production and private property – economic + political power
Proletariat: working class, sell their labour
