There's two sides to Eric, one rather innocent, and one rather dark and possibly bad. Foreshadows his future criminal acts in the play. It also shows that Eric is unauthoritative, naive and shy around his parents but later on in the play, he is shown very clearly as strictly authoritative, when he has his way with Eva and forced himself onto her.

Showing Eva as an object and is objectifying her. He is also using language that suggests he didn't care what happened afterwards or that he didn't care about her feelings after he leaves. He intended for her to be a one night stand.
