great plague
treatment: there where various treatments for the great plague e.g. prayer, various diets and plague doctors these all supposedly helped you if you had the great plague
prevention: at the time prevention from diseases and other illnesses was hard due to the lack of sanity but ideas such as carrying a pomander to remove the miasma arised some that are still around today is the idea of quarantining ill people from healthy people to stop the spread of the great plague
the great plague was spread through fleas on rats these fleas would spread their disease onto the humans and once the person was infected the disease would be spread from one person to the next.
government action: unlike the black death the government actually tried to sort the great plague out they ordered animals such as dogs cats and pigeons to be killed if seen on the streets theatres where closed large funerals where banned public meeting where banned and also fairs alleyways where swept and kept clean etc
cholera
treatment drinking water and use of antibiotics
Prevention desalinate water and cook food to kill the bacteria
Causes Ingestion of food or water with the cholera bacteria in it
introduction of the separate drinking water and sewage systems
cancer
prevention: alot of cancer cases are because of a person genetics but some cases are due to human causes such as drinking to much alcohol smoking having an un-healthy diet lack of excersize etc
government action: the main ways the government has tried to prevent cancer is by creating programs to stop people smoking drinking etc and encouraged healthy eating and plenty of exercise
treatment: their are several treatments for cancer e.g. chemotherapy, radio therapy and surgery these all are now available due to a rapid advancement of technology in the 20th century
causes: cancer is a non-communicable disease that is formed when cells divide uncontrollably and spread into surrounding tissue
