japan had a key part in ww2, but not in a good way. on the 7 of december 1941, japan launched a surprise attack on pearl harbour, killing over 1000 people and destroying 300 planes and 20 ships.
as well as pearl harbor, they also attacked the phillipines, guam and wake island
on the 6th and 9th of august 1945, america dropped 2 nuclear bombs on hiroshima and nagasaki, killing almost 250,000 civilians altogether.
