Leadership
Leading is the ability to direct people, give them instructions and make them follow and obey you.
Democratic Leadership

This style of leadership is more effective. It usually achieves better results, as employees like to be involved. It motivates staff and allows for quality decision making.

Autocratic Leadership

This style of leadership usually does not produce good results for the manager and is best avoided.
Employees resent being treated like this.
Autocratic leadership is where the manager makes all the decisions without ever asking the employees for their opinion.
Laissez-Faire
Laissez Faire leadership is where the manager does not interfere very much with how employees do their work.
This type of leader:
Give employees a goal to achieve within a certain time frame, and leaves it to the employee as to how to achieve that goal.

Laissez Faire leadership is appropriate where the manager has a highly motivated and trustworthy employees.
Motivation
Motivating involves energising employees and providing them with appealing incentives so that they willingly co-operate and work harder for the business.
