Use of Agarwood as artwork is a natural consequence from the values that have been confirmed in ancient cultural life, especially in spiritual activities.
Location distribution
In Vietnam, natural Agarwood are found in Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Gia Lai, Kom Tum, Dak Lak ... and some other areas in the Central.
Agarwood trees grow naturally in tropical moist forests, which can be encountered at a height of 1,000 meters but are concentrated at altitudes below 700 meters.
Agarwood can stand hot weather, good natural regeneration, prefers rich soil mixing with sand, thick layer, blooming season are in July-August, ripen season are in September-October
Origin
Agarwood is most widely distributed in Vietnam, followed by Laos, India .
Agarwood is obtained from Aquilaria trees or Aquilaria crassna Pierre ex Lecomte of the Thymeleaceae.
How to form
When exposed to external agents such as mold or mechanical wounds and some other conditions that cause prolonged infection, the plant produces a resin that will self-treat the wound and form a black, aromatic, solid wood core, collectively called Agarwood.
