DNA replication, Steps - Coggle Diagram
DNA replication
prokaryotic
circular DNA with single Origin of replication
eukaryotic
liner DNA with multiple Origins of replication
Steps
1-DNA helicase moves in the DNA from 5' to 3' using ATP to separate the strand (moving fork forward).
2-DNA topoisomerase travel ahead the fork to prevents coiling
3-Single-strand proteins binding prevent forming double helix
4-DNA primase generate RNA primers
5-DNA polymerase elongate with the new DNA(link covalently nucleotide from 5'to3' ONLY)
lagging strand(lower):DNA synthesizes as Okazaki fragments(consist of RNA primers +DNA)
6-DNA polymerase replace RNA primers with DNA
7-DNA ligase joins adjacent DNA fragments
Only in eukaryotic :warning:

End for the prokaryotic : :warning:
leading strand(upper):DNA synthesized as one molecule (NOTE:only 1 primer)
