History of Cu Chi Tunnels
The history of Cu Chi tunnels is closely linked to the period of resistance against the French, especially in the period from 1946 to 1948. This work is the result of dedication from the army and people in Tan Phu Trung and Tan communes. Phuoc Vinh An, the main purpose is to protect weapons and military equipment.
Each village in this area had its own bunker, but because of travel needs, they linked the bunkers together, forming a complex system of connections to facilitate the army's we can communicate, transmit information, and make strategic plans during the revolutionary period.
The upper part of the tunnel system is also fully equipped with military structures such as nail pits, bell tunnels, along with minefields... These are necessary parts to support the fierce fighting of soldiers and Vietnamese people.
