story
main plot
- begins with Aeneas telling Carthange of what happened in troy and we see his furor of wanting to kill helen.
- Dido falls in love with Aeneas and this leads to amor
- When Aeneus plans his voyage away this leads to Dido trying to get him to stay ,but end with ehr Amor taking over and her killing herself
- Aeneas is told to got to the underworld by The Sybil
- in the underworld Aeneas meets his father where he sees all the roman heroes that will come from him in the future: first a group of alban kings, then romulus the "founder of rome", then numa who brought the religious aspects and political system of rome, then tullus the 3rd king of rome, next is ancus, after him was mezentius, lausus then who was a hunter and head of an army, umbro then who is a mythical relative of the umbrians, lastly got camilla whos meant to remind people of the amazons.
- after this aeneas lands in latium where he goes and becomes the favourite to marry the kings daughter this causes juno to get turnus to declare war on the trojans.
- aeneas goes to receive help from evander and the etreusticans
- due to aeneas absence turnus goes and invades the camp of the trojans with many trojans being killed
- when aeneus returns he finds many dead due to the battle ,but he also finds out Turnus has killed Pallas his friend
- after the battle there is a truce between the sides where they can bury there dead with Pallas being buried as a part of this.
- in the end the truce is broken with Aeneas and Turnus having a 1 on 1 duel with the story closing with Aeneas victorious
