consequences of uneven development
Migration
Uneven development can lead to higher migration levels
This happens as people migrate to improve their quality of life.
Due to war there are fewer prospects of life
Lots of people usually migrate as a result from push and pull factors
Alot of the time people cant help with migration due to wars conflict and natural disasters
This can lead to uneven development as there are people who have jobs as other than people who have just migrated in with no jobs leading to high levels of development
Due to migration there are little amounts of jobs for people meaning most peoples quality of life were lost.
Health
Uneven development can cause health problems.
For example low income countries have poor health care systems meaning people who are ill can't get the proper care they need.
This could lead to death, diseases or result in large groups of people very ill.
Complications in childbirth are one of the main causes of death among children under 5 years old in low income countries.
In high income countries only 1 in 100 deaths is among children under 15 years.
7 in every 10 deaths are amongst people aged 70 years and over.
Malaria is a very common disease in low income countries which in 2017 cause 430,000 deaths, mainly in African children.
The wealthier and more developed African countries have fewer cases of malaria due to vaccination programmes.
Wealth
wealth inequality is consistently increasing
dissparities in wealth from uneven development causes a gap between the rich and the poor that is expenetually growing
Lic's and Hic's internally contain wealth dissparity ,this causes separation in countires in standards of living .The rich get have better standards
average LIC incomeincreased by 11% from 1990 to 2010,however faily icomes had reached its highest uneventity ever by 2016
can cause increased crime rates in areas, as people turn to crime to support families
uneven development causes areas of weath and areas of poverty, this can lead to a scewed GNI.
can lead to local political problems , as an unfairness is presented
uneven development can cause inequality in wealth, this is beause it is easier for people in high development area sto gain a better education and live a better life to earn more money
buisnesses started in high income areas have an advantage , this is because they are likey to have more access to trade
areas with high development rely on their high income population to support them areas of low development do not have the high income to grow and develop
