- - - - We use it with for or since to talk about an action or event that began in the past an is still in progress.
        
        We use for → a period of time (for a week, a year…)
        We use since → with a point in the past (since Monday, last summer…)
        
        I’ve lived in Berlin for three years.
        She’s been ill since last week.
      - I can’t play football because I’ve injured my knee.
