Plot story 1
Exposition
Desmond who is a child that recently moved from Jamaica to Chicago went to his new school and got a little nervous in class.

Climax
Desmond feels uncomfortable because of they just moved to Chicago and he mises his friends and old home and he is worried people will make fun of his accent.
Falling action
Desmond goes home to eat dinner with his family, his house is covered with furniture from their old home in Jamaica and Desmond is glad that his culture is there to support him
Resolution
Two kids started talking to Desmond who asked about Jamaica and cricket games, Desmond then gets more comfortable around his classmates.
Plot story 2
Exposition
One day there was 2 villages which lived next to each other, one was an English village, and the other was an Indian village. Both villages have a peaceful relationship. In the English village there was a girl called Ellinor while in the Indian village there is a girl called Little deer.
Rising action
One day both villages wanted to have a feast celebrating their good harvest, so both Ellinor and Little deer was told to make some food, but they didn't talk to each other because of their differences.
Climax
Little deer went out to gather ingredients while Ellinor followed trying to tell her to go back, later Little deer accidently fell off a cliff and fell into water. Ellinor quickly went to the edge of the water and pulled Little deer up.
Resolution
They both finish making the food and the villages held the feast and later Ellinor and Little deer played together and became good friends as they both realized that even if they are different doesn't mean they can't be friends.
Falling action
Ellinor saved Little deer but Little deer's ingredients fell and couldn't be found. They both then gathered blue berries and as the sun was setting, they both went back to the village together.

Normally, I loved being the center of attention. Back home I was always popular with my group of friends. But those were friends I’d grown up with, friends I hung out with every day.

Desmond is worried about adapting to his new home and classroom while Tanya is worried that Desmond will find other people to replace her and Lee as his besfriends.

“Mother, I need more deerskin for this,”
she explained.

“I’m sorry you lost them,” Ellinor said.

Tugging her hand, she led Ellinor back up the stream, where many late-ripening blueberry bushes grew, shaded by ash trees.

But even being bruised didn’t change Little Deer’s solid determination to finish her task her own way.

External conflict
Desmond had problems adapting with his new home and class at Chicago and is afraid of people making fun of his accent
Internal conflict
Desmond mises his old friends in Jamaica and his home, he also finds it difficult to adapt in a new class.
