Even the classic example of innovation, Apple, mainly derive its sucess from incremental improvements. The Iphone, dubbed the most profitable product line, is the result of a knowledge-based process. Enlarged screen size, smooth multi-touch interface, and minimalisitc design set up the initial unique selling propositions. However, incremental changes to components and different product modelling has successfully catered to varied customer needs (Gabriel 2021), which made the company one of the top innovation leaders. Notably, touchscreen has been discovered before the commercial success of Apple in 2007 (Woggon 2022), but the significance in the continuous learning process has granted Apple the mainstream, world-wide reputation as a tech-giant.
