- - - - "provides an archaeological overview of American Indian societies in the Southwest"
      - I have been interested in the history of this land and its inhabitants of indigenous people since a long time ago. And to understand the tale behind the Old Main, the oldest building here at the U of A, there is no better way than knowing about the people living here before it.
    - - "provide the student with an entrada(entrance) into the landscape and cultures of the Sonoran Region both in the US and in northern Mexico through a variety of disciplines"
      - The tale of the Old Main does not solely refer to history but can also involve the impact of surrounding cultures. It is situated in the Sonoran Region, the intersection of the tri-societal cultures of Euro, Indio, and Mestizo. Therefore, I believe the three cultures also contribute their stories to this building, which I seek to further understand through this course.
- - - - "places the Earth and humanity in a broad cosmic context and seeks to answer fundamental questions about our surroundings"
      - To know more about the past, we need to understand the present. This idea is valued and conveyed by this course as it seeks to give students an understanding of our current position in the cosmos, which intrigues me. Additionally, it also provides basic knowledge about the formation of matter, stars, and planets, serving as references for me to solve this wonder.
    - - Read and view cultural artifacts with extended discussions of problems with critical analysis of them
      - This wonder mainly involves theories that have persuasive and unconvincing points. In order to determine what I call "the truths among the lies," we need to have solid critical thinking skills, especially for problems that we cannot conduct experiments to prove (no one can experiment on something that happened 14 billion years ago, right?). Therefore, what I seek to achieve from this course is not an understanding of the cultural artifacts but a strong sense of critical thinking to analyze the theories before drawing conclusions.
- - - - "addresses the science behind our knowledge of human impact on the planet and how we measure and communicate that impact, with an emphasis on out-of-the-classroom experience and critical thinking"
      - Robots' mechanism and humans' influence on the Earth, when put together, are apples and oranges. However, my main focus is to utilize the critical thinking skills practiced in the form of understanding humans' impact on the Earth throughout this course to develop an understanding of the way delivery robots work.
    - - "engage with concepts and practices of visual culture"
      - To me, a design (whether in architecture, design, etc.) is also a form of art. So is the delivery robot's design. Therefore, this wonder, rather than considering the robot's physical mechanism only, expands to a broader field: how its design works as a piece of the University's building planning (the arrangement of the buildings and their surroundings). This course will aid me with that meaning-making process.
- - - - I am interested in this course because to speculate what will happen after entering a black hole, we must understand the physics behind it, as well as its origin, evolution, composition, etc.
    - - This wonder mainly involves theories that have persuasive and unconvincing points. - - - - "Tells the story of how astronomers explore our Universe"
      - I am interested in this course because to answer the question of what this Universe looks like, we must understand the physics behind it, as well as its origin, evolution, composition, etc. Furthermore, it also provides some insights for me to answer my biggest wonder in general: How did we make it? Where are we right now? How will we end up in the future?
    - - "Examines astronomical ideas in works of literature, art, and music"
      - One of the key ideas in this wonder is "shape." At first glance, I think of it as physical shapes (i.e., circles, rectangles, etc.) defined by physics in the way natural scientists would think. But then, as I practice interdisciplinarity, I have another interpretation of this question: How does this Universe take shape in the works of artists, musicians, writers, and poets throughout history? This course will help answer this question.
