Although British Shorthairs tend not to shed too much it is recommended they are groomed regularly reduce shedding and prevent matting. Overall grooming regularry keeps a cleaner and happier cat and house.
British Shorthairs have a thick, dense fur, that is short hence the name shorthair.
British Shorthairs just like most cats do shed however, they shed minimally, and only shed seasonally during springs and falls.
They are most commonly found as having grey fur colors but can have 30 different types of colors and shade. The most common colors are grey, brown, and smokey blue.
