the regular army was gradually slimmed down from 230,000 men to 91,000 by 1838 and so they wanted to expand
steam powered boats were popular at this time for long distances and expanded the British army greatly
territory that was claimed over many years because of the British empire consisted of Canada, large areas of India, Australia, and New Zealand, and small parts of South America and Africa showing the strength of our revolution

middle class
porridge, eggs, fish and bacon would be found in middle class homes
slightly lower quality meats than the upper classes were eaten at dinner
low class
breakfasts were poor and unhealthy with mainly just handmade white bread being the main starter to their days
For dinner the lower classes had little access to meat, so their diet mostly consisted of grains and vegetables
high class
high class dinners mainly also consisted of soup, roast meats or fish, vegetables, puddings and sweets
breakfast would usually consist of luxury ham, eggs, bacon, bread and fish
