attentive listening
Learn about the students, demonstrate authentic interest.
Finding positive and encouraging feedback to promote momentum and a spirit of inquiry in the learning process
Create an intentional hidden curriculum: Self-care is great but it is not enough, we are made to live in community and to count on each other. The well-being of our immediate co-workers in our team is our priority. With the idea that we care for each other so each of us can fulfill our role in caring for the patient.
Addresses incivility immediately in a professional caring way, and teaches others how to do so with the use of modules that teach scripted responses
We don't need to learn how to care, we need to be care for by each other and by our leaders
We show care for each other by listening, caring for our own vibes, offering grace, offering to help, showing understanding and compassion for each other, assuming the best from our colleagues, and not participating in gossip.
We are cared for by our leaders by action.
Leaders will:
constantly listen to and act on suggestions given by staff
promote staff leadership by providing
resources of funding and time
respect staff's work-life balance, rest time

Does the physical environment promote learning? Temperature, quietness, technology set up, computer, camera, headphone access.
What is the length of the learning activity, What is the time of the day? Can food be provided? Can this activity be self-paced, and done at home? Does it provide CEUs? Is it paid? is it mandatory? Addressing these issues of interest of the staff ahead of time may enhance the learning for participants
The educator is the environment: See yourself as one aspect of your own learning environment and that of your students.
Maintain the awareness of how your energy may influence learning and know how to re-center to maintain your energy in a way that promotes acceptance, sharing, and a safe space for learning.
