USES OF CONVEX LENS - Coggle Diagram
USES OF CONVEX LENS
Camera
uses convex lens to reproduce a small ,inverted and small image on photographic film(placed on the back inside diaphragm).
it have parts resemble with human eye:
-
-
Photographic Enlarger
produce an inverted, real and magnified image .
-
-
-
Projector
uses three lenses; projection lens (convex lens) ,pair of condenser lens for image formation.
produce a large , inverted and real image on a screen.
-
-
Magnifying glass
-
-
-
It is a virtual image because no light rays converge to form image ,so it cannot be obtained on a screen.
Microscope
Simple microscope
-
-
produce upright, virtual, and magnified image .
The minimum point or distance from which human eye can see is 25cm.
The far point of the eye is maximum from which we see blur image.
Human eye have greater magnifying power but less resolution power.
-
Compound microscope
upright microscope that uses two sets of lenses (a compound lens system)
obtain higher magnification than a stereo microscope .
Has a shorter focal length than of eyepiece.
used to study the structure of small things.
