The General Assembly consists of all the member states of the UN, each having one vote.

Decisions in the General Assembly require a two-thirds majority to pass.

The General Assembly convenes once a year to discuss and make recommendations on international peace, security, cooperation, health, education, and human rights.

The Economic and Social Council aims to promote higher standards of living, full employment, economic and social progress, etc

Economic and social council oversees specialized agencies with international responsibilities in economic, social, cultural, educational, and health fields.
