Prepare notes in large print, & memorize the opening sentences

Question & Answer Period
Ensure that you're in charge, but remain calm & polite. Admit when you don't know the answer.

Know your audience- make it understandable, i.e. scientific audience vs. nonscientific audience
Identify the purpose/ question and the take home message of the study- identify the purpose clearly & present it right after your introductory slide
Pick the most important figure for your core slide- needs to be clear, uncluttered, & immediately understandable to make your talk compelling

Use spoken English. Do not the bullet points on slides as your notes. Be positive & enthusiastic about your topic
