Turtle island
The first nations believed that we lived on a big turtle. They believe this island provides for everyone to live without owning it and to be in peace.

The French and British believed land was owned by someone but the first nations did not. This led to misunderstanding
Europeans
The Europeans believed the first nations people were savages and did not matter. They thought of themselves as civilized normal people unlike the first nations

Winners and losers
They were unclear in the Treaty of whos land, so they fought against the treaty. There was still land that was declared nobody's so they tried taking it and ended up fighting again
Relationships
The French and English always fought even if there was a treaty. The Haudenosaunee tried taking control of the French to help them be more powerful than Seneca and mohawk

The boarder would constantly change because they would be taken over by other countries. They singed a treaty to not fight for land anymore.(French and British)

The beaver wars
The beaver wars was a fight for land. They fought for land with beavers on it so they can trade the pelts for goods. This war was mostly on the Haudenosaunee's side as they won most of the land and power. This led to power off of the trading with the first nations .
