1- (Hematoma formation) Torn blood vessels hemorrhage, forming mass of clotted blood(hematoma)=site is now swelling, painful, and inflamed
2-(Fibrocartilaginous calcus formation) capillaries turn into hematoma, phagocytic cells=clear debris, fibroblast connect to broken ends, with the help of osteogenic cells, reconstruction begins.
3- (Bony Callus Formation) New trabeculae appear (after a week), in fibrocartilaginous (callus), formation continues until firm union forms.
4- (Bone remodeling)begins during bony callus formation and continues for several months, compact bone= lays down to reconstruct shaft walls, final structure resembles the original one.
