Candy comes in and starts talking about the dream with Lennie in front of crooks. Interesting because they weren't supposed to talk about it in front of anyone. Suggests that crooks isn't anyone/human. he could never join/take over the dream - he isn't a threat
Curley's wife comes in - horses rattling chains etc - represents danger - she poses a danger. She talks about how lonely she is and how she hates her husband.
Candy gets angry and tells her she isn't wanted etc. Crooks joins in - srength in numbers. she responds 'i could get you strung up so fast it isn't even funny'. she leaves.
