SU’s perspective: JMA Wireless Dome
Stakeholders
Students
Ottos army and other will come on weekends to support the Orange and Blue for a break from study and the social aspect. As a student I try and seize opportunities to support fellow athletes and experience the American culture of game-day.
Onondaga Nation
the people who’s land the Dome stands on. They have an outside perspective as they don’t necessarily interact with the campus in the same everyday way the students do. However there is an important history regarding treaties that allow us to reside on unseeded ground. Their perspective is imperative to discuss as their understanding and interactions with onondaga land is more valuable than any textbook that the classroom has to offer.
Coaches
Coaches: are people who work tirelessly, giving everyday to give their athletes the opportunity for success. Coaches are representative of third party perspectives of Syracuse who’s goal is to shape students, however unlike how teachers interact within the classroom, Coaches are a central part of the Dome and how it functions often swaying the result of the game by being level-headed and reliable for their athletes.
Athletes
Athletes: are the obvious reasoning behind the dome, with images of various sport that occur within the walls (such as basketball, NFl, Football, Volleyball) and the centre-of attention of game-days. They will have experienced some of their best memories and worst workout days in the JMA Dome. As an athlete I aim to reflect Carpe Diem by seizing every opportunity to improve and chase my goals.
