Recognising physical abuse
bruises in places where children don't usually ger hurt
excuse for their actions is for discipline
deliberately attempt to hurt the child
There is a difference between using physical punishment to discipline and physical abuse
emotionally drained
refusing to get changed
unpredictability- don't know what will set the parents off, no clear boundaries or rules
lashing out in anger - parents act out in anger and assert control
