I was in the Spirit on Shabbat, and I heard behind me a great voice, like trumpet, saying, I am the Aleph and Tav, the First and the Last;’ and,
Write in a scroll what you see, and send it to the seven assemblies in Asia; to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.’ And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me, and when turned, I saw seven golden lamp-stands. And the center of the menorah-lamps I saw one like a son of man, and wrapped round his chest - clothed to his foot, was a golden sash. The hair on his head was like white wool - as white as snow, and his eyes were like a flame of fire; and his feet like to pure brass, fired in a furnace. His voice sounded like a storm, and he had seven stars in his right hand, and out of his mouth a sharp two-edged sword went out, and his countenance like the sun shining brilliantly.
