Uses/Applications of Convex lenses
The Magnifying Glass
Forms upright, magnified and virtual image.
Cannot be obtained on a screen.
It is a thin converging lens that can be used to make objects look bigger.
The camera
A distant object requires the lens to film distance equal to the focal length of the lens.
While the photograph is taken, the lens is moved in or out to focus the adjustments from the film.
Produces a small, inverted, and small image on photographic film.
Compound Microscope
It is an upright microscope
It is used to study the structure of small objects.

Works on the same principle as projector.
Object is placed at a greater distance than F but less than 2F
