During the 19th and 20th century a big debate early Americans dealt with was slavery. Slavery was being pushed into the light and many wanted to abolish it. Black women wanted the opportunity to vote and new states coming into the USA had to choose if they wanted to be free of a slave state. Missouri was one controversial state that dealt with slavery and cause amendments, crisis, and compromises.

Throughout the United States history other cultures and countries have been associated with their growth. When becoming more established the Americans had to figure out their border lines with neighboring countries. They also had to negotiate for some land. Finally, they had to pass laws for Native Americans to secure their safety.
Andrew Jackson was the most chaotic president. He destroyed the National bank, made enemies, and tried to make the presidency power greater just like the kings. Andrew Jackson was one of Americas least favorite presidents.
There were many political matters in the start of Americas history. Democracy was created and many parties. Such parties included the Democratic, republican, and Whig parties. These parties had their own presidents and vice presidents running them. There was also in state problems with the government like South Carolina rebellion towards the Tariff of 1828.
The start of America had its share of economic and social issues. The Panic of 1873 caused by Andrew Jackson was similar to the Great Depression just in a smaller scale and it caused many economic issues for the country which led to Tarrifs. Freemasonry was also created to allow for more social events and clubs to unify the nation further.
