Cinema and The Viewer

I think that there's a strong connection between how the viewer is supposed to feel when watching both of these films. The way that both of these films are presented is in touch with the body, with Strike approaching it from a visual standpoint, and videodrome from a physical standpoint.

These two films are connected due to the narrative elements that are found within the stories. Through the slapstick in Playtime and the Hollywood system-based tropes that occurs Sullivan's Travels, both connect through the narrative elements that are proven to be unnecessary to the plot and serve to present entertainment in a capitalistic society.
Born in Flames in STRIKE are interrelated because they are structured and edited to fit a certain political and societal issue fit within their narrative thesis. Strike is edited in such a way that is meant to propose uprisings in communism, and Born in Flames is narratively morphed into creating new heights for feminism in film.
